SARIO - Strategy 2010-2013

(10.2.2011) Aspiro was selected from among the bidders to prepare SARIO strategy and implementation roadmap within one month’s time.

In June 2010, the government appointed a new CEO, Robert Simoncic, to oversee a turnaround of SARIO, increase its performance and meet the strategic goals of increasing FDI inflows to Slovakia. A solid and complex institutional strategy was required quickly in order to define key challenges, opportunities, and to provide a clear roadmap for change.

Aspiro provided a detailed analysis of current situation in both external environment and internal situation of the organization. The consultants came up with key strategy scenarios which were fleshed out throughout brainstorming sessions organized jointly with business leaders in Slovakia and abroad. Based on the defined goals and objectives, a number of strategic initiatives were developed into specific projects to be implemented in order for the goals to be achieved within the given time. During the following discussions with governmental decision-makers, Aspiro provided expert support to ensure the strategy gained political approval, enabling it to be implemented.

Note: SARIO is a governmental agency in Slovakia created in 2001 to promote foreign investment and support companies exporting abroad. SARIO has successfully brought several of Slovakia’s largest foreign investors such as Samsung, KIA Motors, Getrag Ford, or AU Optronics.
